Hi, I’m Liz Co

You know that feeling when you’re putting the lid back on a jar and it doesn’t turn smoothly—the threads aren’t quite aligned? Then you turn it back the other way a little and (clunk) it settles into the grooves and you can tell it’s seated properly

Or is that just me?…

Anyway, that’s how it felt when I realized:
I knew who I want to call out to. I’d been focused on IFS, excited by the real change that was happening. And then the idea seated itself. They’re folks who…

…are neurodivergent or identify with neuodiversity

…know how effective IFS therapy can be (or are curious)

…feel different in other ways, too, like race, culture, sexuality, gender, or other things that make you… you!

A few other things about me (jar lids aside)

I’m one of the people with a different kind of brain and nervous system.

It’s sensitive, quirky, and endlessly interested. Sometimes the way my brain works frustrates me. Other times I delight in how weird and unexpected it is.

I don’t mask much— even with my clients.

I feel like it’s important to normalize how neurodivergence looks unmasked in professional settings— how my strong suits (empathy, awareness, the ability to access self-energy) work in balance with my not-so-strong suits.

I identify with being outside of the mainstream.

I feel a sense of belonging within intersectionality.

And I love working with others who live there, whether related to race, culture, sexuality, immigrant, first-gen experience, or of course, neurodiversity

I love to help neurodiverse clients get to know their systems, discover the gifts of their neurotypes and learn how to ride the waves of the difficulties.

Let’s work toward:

Less: masking & trying to function in ways that don’t work for you

More: doing things your own way.

Trusting your creativity, joy alternative perspectives, insight.

Letting your divergent flag fly.

Where to next?

Neurodivergence

• What is neurodivergence?
(Is it just ADHD and Autism?)

• How does it feel from the inside?

• How does it look from the outside?

• How can I tell if I’m neurodivergent?

Simple concept, profound effects

“A part of me wants to cook a really healthy dinner tonight, but a part of me is craving pizza.” It’s not a foreign concept for us to acknowledge that different parts of us feel different ways. Find out more about how getting to know our parts— really know them— allows us to develop a sense of internal trust, so that the tug-of-war becomes collaboration
